Virgilio Piñera's Meat is one of my favorite short stories of all time. I just finished reading it for Latin American literature class, and was reminded that I wrote a reaction paper on it for an English class during my second semester in college.

What My Mind Has Been Up To Lately
I've been having trouble sleeping since the year began. For weeks now that I am finally able to sleep, I keep having nightmares. I don't remember them when I get out of bed, but they are a hindrance in resting well. I wake up almost every morning feeling like something went terribly wrong.

Nietzsche and My Examined Life
These letters were originally written for and read aloud in front of my contemporary philosophy class two sems ago. I am honored to learn that this piece made one of those classmates cry, inspiring her to include something like this as an activity for the philo classes she now handles. The note was added later for submission... and edited even later for posting.

Nagustuhan niya, at natunaw ako.

May Babaeng Colorblind
